Like swiss clockwork
Just a quick update from down under.
Roger "The man" Federer is still simply sublime, carving his way through the field but given a tough workout against Tommy Haas this morning. It would take a brave man to bet against the swiss master scooping the title.
For those of you smart enough to have taken my advice and stuck some money on another swiss master-Miss Hingis, then your looking in pretty good shape. The outsider at the start of the tournament is looking mightily impressive, and maybe, just maybe, she could win here, stranger things have happened...

What do they get if they win?
Is it a nice shiney plate or cup? DO they get to keep it? And do they get any cash?

Well......
The men get a nice cup, which they dont get to keep, they get a miniature replica, the women get a shield which also they cannot keep but get a replica. Prize money is something around the £750,000 for the winner.
3 quarters of a million you say?
I may just enter next year...
Yeh, me 2...
Altho, you have to win 7 matches over two weeks to get that, whereas if you enter a the equivalent golf tournament and win, you only have to play for four days and get around £900,000...
But golf is for Grandads and kiddy fiddlers. Everyone knows that.
